Oren Moverman's Rampart will wage a one-week awards-qualifying run in Los Angeles & New York on November 23, in time for the long Thanksgiving weekend. Millennium Entertainment has set January 27 2012 as the movie's official release date. Rampart stars Woody Harrelson, Robin Wright, Sigourney Weaver, Steve Buscemi, Ben Foster, Ice Cube, Cynthia Nixon, Anne Heche, Brie Larson and Jon Bernthal. |

Enlightened follows the story of Amy Jellicoe (Laura Dern), a self-destructive executive, who, after a very public breakdown and a subsequent philosophical awakening in rehabilitation, tries to get her life back together. Robin Wright guest stars in Episode 6 "Sandy".

The Grandmothers will start pre-sales at the AFM this week. Oscar winner Christopher Hampton has adapted Doris Lessing’s novella. Naomi Watts, Robin Wright, Xavier Samuel and James Frecheville are attached to star.
The Grandmothers is the story of two women, best friends since childhood, who fall in love with each other’s sons, carrying on affairs for years until they resolve to end them and see their sons married off - a turn that has lasting impact on all concerned.
The $16m film will shoot in Australia beginning in February next year for a Cannes 2013 delivery. |

Robin Wright just got back from the eastern Congo, a trip she took with the organization Raise Hope for Congo. She had meetings in Washington with students and she also went to "The Stream" show to share her experience and inspire others to help end the use of conflict minerals.

Lisa F Jackson’s documentary "The Greatest Silence: Rape in Congo" was screened in association with the TG Foundation (aiming to help victims of sexual violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo). The screening took place at the Frontline Club on Thursday 30th June at 7:00pm at London.
Q&A panel on the night included Lisa F. Jackson (director of Greatest Silence), Stephen Sackur (BBC Journalist), Tatiana Giraud (TG Foundation founder) and actress-Congo campaigner Robin Wright.

Robin Wright is in early negotiations to play the female lead opposite Kevin Spacey in Netflix’s first original series, House of Cards.
The hourlong political thriller, based on the book and British miniseries of the same name, comes from Media Rights Capital.
The Social Network director David Fincher is helming the pilot and will executive produce the series along with Eric Roth, Josh Donen and Spacey’s Trigger Street Productions partner Dana Brunetti. Beau Willimon (The Ides of March) wrote the pilot and will serve as an executive producer.
Netflix, with more than 20 million subscribers, has committed $100 million for 26 episodes of the drama, outbidding HBO, AMC and others for the series. The subscription service will stream the series exclusively beginning in late 2012.
House of Cards is scheduled to begin production on the first 13 episodes in spring 2012. |
